Terms of Use
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Welcome to OctoBuddy AI. By using the app you agree to these terms, together with Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If there is a conflict, these terms apply.
The beta
OctoBuddy AI is in beta. Things may change, break, or disappear while we improve it. Your feedback helps a lot, and by sending it you let us use it to make the app better.
Your content
Your notes and recordings are yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide the app’s features, such as creating summaries, flashcards and quizzes. Only add material you have the right to use.
AI-generated content
Summaries, flashcards, quizzes and explanations are created by AI. They are usually helpful, but they can contain mistakes. Please check important facts against your course material, and don’t rely on the app for medical, legal or financial decisions.
Fair use
Please don’t misuse the app: no attempts to break or overload the service, to get around usage limits, or to use it for anything illegal or harmful. We may limit or stop access if the app is misused.
Subscriptions
Some features may require OctoBuddy AI Pro. Subscriptions are bought and managed through your Apple account, renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss of data, grades or opportunities, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for important changes we’ll tell you in the app.
